Festive Peppers

I shot these brightly colored peppers using a Nikon D1H. Considering i didnt have a background that i really wanted in focus i shot at F/4 at 1/45 sec. I also used an ISO of 200. I love close up photography and i absolutely LOVE bright colors, so shooting these peppers were perfect for me, except for the fact that they cost $1.87 each....ughhh!!!

These peppers look great, Kirbi. Nice use of color & depth of field. I also like the strong sidelighting. Good work.

These colors are great. I love how much they pop out. I like the peppers standing in the back to create a more interesting composition and contrast with the ones laying.

One question: Where's the orange pepper??

Kirbi,
I really love the dramatic lighting on these peppers. Your choice of hard side lighting really helps with making them pop off from the dark background and really shows some excellent texture! maybe, you could try putting some fill light on the left side to show some more detail...but thats you descision. great work though!!! :)

I really like the colors in the photograph. Switching the colors opposite of eachother really added something. Sidelighting really helps.
